On Saturday, February 5, 2011, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Roanoke Valley Chess Club held court at Tanglewood Mall for their annual Tons of Fun event, which featured dozens of child- and family-friendly organizations and performances. All three of the RVCC's three tables and six boards were busy with people enjoying the Royal Game soon after the doors opened, and throughout much of the day.
Tons of Fun organizers have thanked us for helping to make Tons of Fun successful and fun for the public. The Club was able to add several new players to its contact list.
